BEGGING for a workout!

This may sound a little ridiculous but I am extremely weight conscious. Matt and I both want to workout and lose some poundage but seriously don't know where to turn.
We were hoping perhaps someone could give us some ideas. We have no money and no equipment. It is freezing outside. We would find time to run outside together but would have to take Jaxson in order to do that and don't want the poor boy to freeze.

I am so frustrated! I have no idea what to do and we are both begging each other to do something but can't think of a single thing to do.

We have looked up exercises to do together inside without the equipment but it is nearly impossible to do them without someone telling you how many to do and how long to do it. We do it for a while but I stop before I ever feel like I've gotten a workout.

What would you do?

they have good workouts on dvd. kick-boxing, aerobics, yoga. They also have this work out kit I was seriously thinking about getting at costco. it comes with dvd and the workout ball. it's the rave these days...it supposedly helps tone your behind.
But honestly, in your situation (and what i have done in the past but i am too lazy to do now....at least i admit i'm lazy) is to buy a workout dvd.

Good ideas Mary ---I'm glad you posted this Heidi because I find myself in the same situation. It's so hard to stay in shape during the winter!

You KNOW that I have been there! So, here's what I've done: Jump rope. Seriously, try it for 5 minutes and you will see what I'm talking about. I also have free weights that don't cost very much. The best workouts I have ever done have been with no equipment. (squats, lunges, push-ups, crunches) I also have some workout videos that I LOVE that you are welcome to borrow. It's "The Firm".

I have also been wanting to try the P90X DVD's, but they're a little pricey, I think. Then, I just saw that they carry them at the library! So, try the library to see if there are some workout videos that you want to try. Good Luck! I finally decided if I want it to happen, I have to make it happen because no one else can do it for me.
(one more thing you could check: does the Bountiful rec. center have an indoor track? Then you could take Jaxson with you in the stroller and you and Matt could run together.)

so, you have no money- do you have a wii? i know the initial start is a little ($90) but, we just got the wii fit and i'm in serious pain- plus, it makes it fun to workout! maybe not the suggestion you're in search of, but they do have a hula hoop workout on there and it works! so, get a hula hoop and have a contest with your hubby...

I had all the same ideas. We just got wii fit as well and it really is fun. But a workout DVD is what I would do if I didn't have a wii or anything else. Good luck!!

When we're not at the gym we're doing yoga at home. We just started the Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga DVD. Its great and there are tons of DVDS you can chose from. Plus you can do them together. :)

i'd say just wait till it gets warmer. no need to leave our houses and look good. its freezing out. summers when our bods gotta look good. winters our time to rest and get fat so that we can work harder when its warm. just a suggestion its what im doin and i like to make myself feel better by saying its what i want. haha jk p90x really does work way good i hear. i have done it a few times myself. but if you cant get those i'd say do pushups and sit ups and what not. do them till you cant do them anymore. love your bro.
